오르빗은 영문 모노스페이스 코딩용 폰트의 인상을 한글로 재해석한 서체다. 컴퓨터 언어와 사람의 언어 사이를 잇는다는 의미로 궤도, 오르빗이라는 이름을 갖게 되었고, 대칭성과 연결성을 통해 서체의 전반적인 인상이 기하학적으로 표현되었다.
오르빗은 일관적인 획과 직각세리프, 원의 중심각을 닮은 일정한 각도의 기울기, 정원과 기하학적인 받침 모형을 통해 인공적인 분위기가 조성된다. 다소 우주적이고 미래적인 느낌을 주는 이 글꼴은 코딩 인터페이스 화면을 연상하는 어두운 바탕 에 밝은 글씨, 10pt 아래로 사용하거나 한 글자씩 크게 보기를 권장한다.
Font inspired by monospaced Latin coding font. Korean fonts are usually already monospaced, but brought the impression of the Latin coding font in the Hangeul and punctuation designs. This font gives a mathematical and geometric impression through a serif with right angle and orbicular circle. Attempts to express orbitals with typeface using symmetry and connectivity create a somewhat cosmic and futuristic atmosphere. As it is reminiscent of coding interface screens, it is recommended to use bright writing on a dark background, below 10pt.
